Slovak Telekom has successfully defended its leading position across six mobile network and 5G categories in Slovakia for the second consecutive time. In the independent evaluation, it not only once again received six Ookla® Speedtest Awards™ for Q1–Q2 2026, but also became the first operator in Slovakia to receive the new Top-Rated Mobile Network award. Ookla grants this recognition to the operator with the highest-rated mobile network in the market.
Slovak Telekom has once again confirmed its position as a technology leader in the Slovak telecommunications market. In the evaluation conducted by Ookla®, a global leader in connectivity intelligence , it received six prestigious Speedtest Awards™ for Q1–Q2 2026. Following its success in the second half of 2025, Telekom dominated six major mobile network and 5G categories for the second consecutive period.
The company achieved the best results in key mobile connectivity performance metrics, including data transfer speeds, network responsiveness, connection, and user experience in online gaming.
In addition, Telekom became the first telecommunications operator in Slovakia to receive the new Top-Rated Mobile Network award. Ookla grants this award based on user ratings collected through the Speedtest application to the operator with the highest customer-rated mobile network in the market.

Customer demands on mobile networks continue to grow. An increasing share of mobile data traffic is generated by video streaming, cloud services, online gaming, video communications, and applications powered by artificial intelligence. To determine the winner, Ookla uses an extensive set of user ratings and advanced statistical methodologies that enable it to identify the operator with the highest verified average customer score. The award therefore complements technical network performance metrics with direct customer feedback and everyday user experience.
The Ookla® Speedtest Awards™ are based on an analysis of millions of tests conducted by mobile device users in Slovakia. In the case of Telekom’s latest awards, the analysis covered the first and second quarters of 2026. The evaluation compares network performance across all major mobile operators in the Slovak market.
